\huge\underline\bold\blue{Linear\:motion:-}

Linear constant velocity motion is unaccelerated and is what Sir Isaac Newton meant when he said an object in motion stays in motion unless it is acted on by an outside force.

\huge\underline\bold\blue{Circular\:motion:-}

Circular motion that has a constant speed is accelerated motion because its velocity is changing direction constantly. Since velocity is a vector, an acceleration can change either its size (speed) or its direction. A centripetal force is required to keep something spinning. With the planets, that force is gravity.

Answer:

circular motion:-

  • when a body moves in a circular path around a fixed point then the motion of the body is called circular motion.
  • the direction of the motion changes at every point.
  • uniform circular motion is an accelerated motion.
  • an external force is needed to move body uniformly on a circular path.

linear motion:-

  • when the body moves along a straight line then the motion of the body is called linear motion.
  • the direction of motion does not change.
  • uniform linear motion is an unaccelerated motion.
  • no external force is required to move a body uniformly on a linear path
