in covalent bond atoms are bound by shared electrons
but ionic compounds are formed by forming strong electrostatic intractions between ions

nidhinpw: more
chahar: ionic bond is formed by the transferance of one or more electrons from 1 atom to the other.ionic bond may be defined as the electrostatic force of attraction holding the oppositely charged ions
chahar: a force which binds atoms of same or d/f elements by mutual sharing electrons is called a covalent bond
chahar: i hope this is help ful for u
nidhinpw: good work chahar
