Hey there !
You have 10 acres of land - This is Gross Cropped Area
In rhat 10 acres of land, you regularly sow the crops in 5 acres - This is Net Cropped Area.
Due to some reasons like drought or unfavorable climatic conditions or whatever the reason may be, you sow the crop only in 3 acres of that 5 acre land for one season. In the next season you again continue the sowing of 5 acre land. This 3 acre land is Net Sown Area.
So,
The total land you have is the Gross Cropped Area.The land you regularly use is the Net cropped Area.Due to unfavorable conditions the less area sown is the Net Sown Area.
