Difference between C. S. A and T.S.A

• C.S.A :- Which is also known as lateral surface area is the area of the 3D figure.

Base and top are not included.

General formula for all the figures is :- Perimeter of the figure × Height of the figure.


• T.S.A :- Total Surface area is also the area of the 3D figure ( but the area of the 2D figure can also said to be total surface area but it will different from 3D )

Base and top are included.

General formula for the figure is :-
Since it is the total surface area hence it also contains the area of lateral surface.

So, C.S.A + area of base + area of top ( if the figure have the top )
