distance- distance is the actual distance covered by the moving object                          reference to the point.
                                    it is the scalar quantity.

displacement- it is shortest distance covered by the moving object.
                                   it is the vector quantity.

Distance - it is a scalar quantity (it has only magnitude)
               - Its always be positive
               - Distance = speed x time

Displacement - it has magnitude plus direction so it is a vector quantity
                       - It can be negative, zero and positive
                       - displacement - velocity x time
