what is difference between distance and displacement​

Distance: Distance refers to the space between two points.

For example: A to B= 10 cm = distance

Displacement: Displacement refers to the shortest distance between two points.

For example: But it we travel directly, distance is less, its only 4 cm, displacement= 4 cm.
