Difference between edit view and preview view of windows live writer application:

Edit view:

The Writer editor has three modes – Edit, Preview, and Source. In the Editing mode, the user can write the blog in "what you see is what you get" ("WYSIWYG"), the user can view what the post will look alike in the blog by the Preview mode, and the source mode is the HTML source code version of the post.

Preview view:

Preview enables you to view your post in the theme of your blog right within the WLW source in your tab where you can edit the HTML.
