Answer:

The basic difference is that elements are made of same type of atoms. Ex: H2,O2

Compounds are made of different atoms.Ex: H2O,NaCl etc.

Elements cannot be broken into simple substances by chemical reactions butcompounds can be broken into simple substance.

Hope it helps you mate!!

Explanation:

 \boxed{ \huge \red{definition}}

• Element:-

These are pure substances that are made up of just a single varient of atom

compound:-

These are substances that are made up of a minimum of two different varient of elements held together by a chemical bond

 \boxed{ \huge \red{types}}

Elements

classified as metalloide,non-metals and metals

•compound

classified as per their bond such as molecular,ionic and metallic

 \boxed{ \huge \red{representation}}

Elements

represent by numbers and symbolic such as calcium is represented by Ca

compound

represented by their respective chemical formula such as salt is represented as NaCl

\boxed{ \huge \red{property \: and \: compostion}}

Elements

since just a single type atom makes an element the properties of atom are represented by the component of atom

compound

when it comes to a compound similar types of molecules comprise it

\boxed{ \huge \red{total \: number}}

Elements

A total of 118 element or there out of which 94 happens naturally

compound

Their is an infinite number of compounds

\boxed{ \huge \red{differentiated \:  \: by}}

•Elements

Differentiated by the atomic number

•compund

Differentiated by the fixed ratio of different elements that are arranged in a difinite manner

\boxed{ \huge \red{example}}

•Elements

iron, gold ,copper etc

compund

sodium Hydroxide (NaOH),sodium chloride (NaCl) etc
