The difference between iron and ferrous sulfate is iron is an element and ferrous sulfate is a compound. ... Iron and ferrous sulfate have different chemical properties even though they both contain iron.

adarshyadav9919: If feso4 is ferrous sulphate then ZnSO4 why zinc sulphate in the place of iron there is ferrous sulphate but in the place of zn why there is zinc?

Both are the same but ferrous refers to the iron containing +2 valency. Both the solution will be in pale green colour only.

hope this helps you!!!!

adarshyadav9919: What the name of zinc is not change?
Manushichhillar: can't understand what r u asking
adarshyadav9919: I'm akskig that when iron react with copper sulphate solution its become ferrous sulphate but when zinc react with copper sulphate solution why the name of zinc sulphate is not change ??
Manushichhillar: because zn is more reactive than copper so it can't displace it
adarshyadav9919: But Fe is also more reactive than copper so it's displace...??
adarshyadav9919: Why
Manushichhillar: refer reactivity series for a clear idea
Manushichhillar: it's in the lesson metals and non metals
adarshyadav9919: Okk
adarshyadav9919: Thanks
