The main differences between a typical frog and a normal toad is:

1) Frogs mostly lives in watery bodies for the skin to attain moisture but ventures onto the land for feeding on insects and other preys.
1) Toad are exclusively restricted land, they only come out into the water during breeding seasons, copulation and for finding a partner.

2) Frog is diurnal, that is, it seeks out in a daytime for hunting and for predations, and is active during daylight.
2) Toad is nocturnal, that is, they are active during the nighttime or the night lights, usually, hunting as predators in the dim of light.

3) Frog lay eggs in a mass, some of them are sterile or infertile, so, the probability is never known, they lay eggs huge in population.
3) Toad lay eggs in a line, they are systematic and know which egg has the capability of becoming a tadpole, that is, the female counterparts of toads only select fertile males.

4) The head of a frog is triangular in shape, they meet the smooth ends until reaching and connecting to the tympanum.
4) The head of the toad is semicircular in shape, they meet the rough ends until reaching and connecting to the tympanum.

5) The body of a frog is olive-brown in color with dark spots everywhere on the body.
5) The body of a toad is brownish and somewhat grey in color, mixing the two colors.

6) The whole skin surrounding the frog is moist and very smooth. It has numerous mucous glands present on the body to maintain the smoothness and keep the moisture of the skin intact. It has very few or fewer poisonous glands on the skin.
6) The whole skin surrounding the toad is often found to be dry and very rough and hard. It has numerous poisonous glands making them one of the poisonous species in the world with a lethality rate almost higher than that of a krait (poisonous snake) and fewer mucous glands giving this skin a rough and dry texture to the body (a small dose of the poison of a toad is lethal).

7) The frogs don't have or they lack the presence of parotoid glands (which releases a foam milky alkaloid secretion which have neurotoxins to deter predators, it is Ann extension of the skin layer and acts as a Defence mechanism to protect the preys).
7) Toads have a pair of parotoid glands, which makes them even more poisonous to eat, such as, the African bullfrog which is a delicacy in many parts of Africa are highly poisonous enough to kill and adult when exhumed in large quantities, the third rain is considered to be "safe to eat".

8) The frogs have toes developed into webs (well-developed) making them some good swimmers when they are present in the waters.
8) Toads do not have webs on their toes or the webs are not developed, so, live in the land, step into water when breeding seasons start.

QGP: Great Answer Sir! I feel like I knew nothing about Frogs and Toads before I read this answer :)
