What is difference between functions and relartions?

Relation :-

relation is a set of input and output.

when each input in a relation has exactly on output, the relation is said to be a function.

Function:-

Function is a set of relation with one output for each input.

to determine if a relation is function we make sure that no input has more than one outputs.
