Glacier: *It is the moving heap of snow and ice. * it is found either on snow capped mountains or in higher latitudes. River: * it is running water. * it is found from mountain tops to the mouth of Oceans and from equator to poles. Glacier is in solid state whereas rivers are found in the form of liquid. Glaciers move very slowly whereas a river flows very fast.
