What is difference between Gmail and Email

It is like the difference between a think pad and a hamburger :Gmail is Google's EMAIL (like y mail by yahoo ) paying by the advertisement shown to use.

Email is electronic mail... doesn't matter who the email provider is. Gmail is an email provider.
