The difference between heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures is the degree at which the materials are mixed together and the uniformity of their composition. A homogeneous mixture is a mixture where the components that make up the mixture are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture.

raj441: an alloy is a homogeneous mixture or homologous mixture
subh8: Alloys are usually classified as substitutional or interstitial alloys, depending on the atomic arrangement that forms the alloy. They can be further classified as homogeneous (consisting of a single phase), or heterogeneous (consisting of two or more phases) orintermetallic.
