Hydrophobic:- a property of a substance that repels water. It means lacking affinity for water, and tending to repel or not to absorb water. Hydrophobic molecules tend to be non-polar molecules and group together. Oils and fats are hydrophobic.Hydrophobic may also be known as hydrophobicity.

Hydrophilic :- A molecule or other molecular entity that is attracted to water molecules and tends to be dissolved by water. In contrast, hydrophobes are not attracted to water and may seem to be repelled by it. Hygroscopics are attracted to water, but are not dissolved by water is called hydrophilic.

Hope it helps you❤
