What is difference between hyploid and diploid cell?????
Answers
Answer:
Diploid cells contain two complete sets (2n) of chromosomes. Haploid cells have half the number of chromosomes (n) as diploid - i.e. a haploid cell contains only one complete set of chromosomes. Diploid cells reproduce by mitosis making daughter cells that are exact replicas.
Haploid cells are cells which have exactly half number of the chromosomes than the chromosomes found in a normal cell. These are mainly found in the gaemetes.
Diploid cells are cells which have exactly the same number of chromosomes which a normal cell should have. These include all the cells in a living body except the gaemetes.
If with example of human body then a diploid cell will have 46 number of chromosomes where as a haploid cell will have exactly half of 46 that is 23 number of chromosomes.
