An amoebic cell divides into two identical daughter twins and this process is known as BINARY FISSION
WHERE AS
In Leishmenia the nucleus divides divides several times to form copies of the nucleus which gradually form a hard covering called cyst around them and when there are favourable conditions the cyst of the parent cell breaks and the numerous daughter cells emerge this process is also known as MULTIPLE FISSION.
