Hello...
Mutation is a change in DNA within a single cell of a single individual. The majority of mutations happen in somatic (body) cells and cannot be passed on. Only mutations that occur in germ line cells can be passed on to descendants while Evolution is the change of genetics in populations over time.
Hope it helps U...

Answer:

mutation and evolution are two different concepts.

Explanation:

Mutation is a sudden change occurring in the DNA germ line [ change in position of nucleotide ] Most of the times ,mutation leads towards fatal diseases  . e.g. Sickle Cell Anemia is a disease caused by mutation.

EVOLUTION: Evolution is defined as gradual changes occurring in living organisms over a long duration.Evolution leads to formation of new species .

e.g. Humans have evolved from monkeys and apes.
