what is difference between new moon and full moon

The moon is just a thin banana in the sky. The difference is simply a matterof the moon's position in it's orbit around the earth relative to the sun. ... When the earth is between the moonand the sun the moon's side facing usis fully illuminated and we call it full.

A full moon is when
we can see the entire lit portion of theMoon.
