➡️Open Switch : A switch is said to beopen when no current is drawn from the cell, and the circuit is open or incomplete.
In this condition the electric appliance is said to be 'off'.

➡️Closed Switch : A switch is said to beclosed when current is drawn from the cell and the circuit is closed or complete.
