Polyester is generally more durable than cotton and less prone to fading, shrinking and wrinkling. However, it is more subject to runs and pulls. Poly/cotton blended products combine the softness of cotton with the durability of polyester. ... Polyester is less absorbent than cotton and hence it dries faster.
