convergence, why does a power series always have radius of convergence and interval of convergence?

Unlike geometric series and p-series, a power series often converges or diverges based on its x value. This leads to a new concept when dealing with power series: the interval of convergence. The interval of convergence for a power series is the set of x values for which that series converges.
