Given below are the 4 main differences between RNA and DNA:-

  • DNA's full form is Deoxyribonucleic Acid.
  • RNA's full form is Ribonucleic Acid

  • DNA contains Deoxyribose sugar
  • RNA contains Ribose sugar.

  • DNA has two strands
  • RNA has only one strand

  • DNA contains 4 nitrogen bases:- Adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine
  • RNA contains the same nitrogen bases but instead of thymine it has uracil.
