what is difference between sexual and asexual reproduction

In simple words, asexual reproduction involves only one parent. Say in yeast,we don't find two parents. Whereas,in sexual reproduction, two parents are involved. Asexual mode of reproduction involves budding and fragmentation. Sexual mode involves the fusion of male and female gametes. Asexual mode of reproduction is seen in lower animals such as yeast. Sexual reproduction is commonly seen in multicellular and complex animals
