Hey there!

=> A skeletal chemical equation is written to indicate reactants and products taking part in chemical reactions.

Example: When Mg reacts with oxygen it form Magnesium oxide. The skeletal equation can be written as:

Mg + O2 → MgO

But the reaction is not balanced because the no. of atoms of Oxygen is 2 in reactant side but 1 in product side.

A balanced chemical equation contains equal no. of all the atoms in reactant as well as product side. The balanced chemical equation for reaction of Mg and O2 is written as:

2Mg + O2 → 2MgO

Hope it Helped!!!!☺️

Hii Mate Here is Your Answer,

The Basic Difference Between a Skeletal Equation and Balanced Equation :

1. Skeletal Equation does not satisfies the law of conservation of mass while a balanced equation satisfies.

2.The Mass and amount of reactant may or maynot equal to the product in skeletal equation and The mass is equal in reactant and product side.

3.Skeletal equation doesnot show much detail like balanced equation.

4.Example of Skeletal Equation :-

》Mg + O2 ------->Mgo

Here Mg is equal in both sides but 02 is not equal.

5.Example of Balanced Equation :-

》Mg + O2 ---------> 2MgO
