\huge\bold{Speed}

1️⃣ Speed is defined as the rate of distance covered per unit time.
Its formula is :-
Total Distance covered/Total time

2️⃣ It is a scalar quantity, means that it has only magnitude and no direction

3️⃣ Its SI unit is m/s and is represented by v

\huge\bold{Velocity}

1️⃣ It is defined as the rate of displacement covered per unit time.
Its formula is :-
displacement/Total time

2️⃣ It is a vector quantity, means that it has both magnitude and direction.

3️⃣ Its SI unit is also m/s and is represented by vector v (vector v = arrow above v →v)

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️

Differences between Speed and Velocity are as follows :

Speed :

1⃣ Speed is defined as the distance covered per unit time .

2⃣ Speed of an object tell us how fast does it move.

3⃣ Speed of an object is a scalar quantity.

4⃣ It is always positive.

5⃣ The average speed of a moving object is always finite and cannot be zero.

Velocity:

1⃣ Velocity if an object is defined as the displacement covered per unit time.

2⃣ Velocity of an object is a vector quantity.

3⃣ Velocity of an object tells us how fast and in which direction the given object moves.

4⃣ Velocity can be positive or negative.

5⃣ The average velocity of a moving object can be zero too .
