Difference between stimulus and impulse:

STIMULUS:

  • A stimulus is a change in environment.  
  • A stimulus is a change in environment which may be both internal as well as external factors.
  • This signal reaches brain and then it helps involuntary movements on response to stimulus.

IMPULSE:

  • The impulse is a type of its repercussion through the nervous system.
  • An impulse is actually a wave of an electrical signal which is sent through a nervous system on response to the stimuli.
