Acute diseases are those diseases which last for few days to weeks for example - common cold

chronic diseases are those diseases which last for years for example - HIV

Acute diseases are the diseases that affect an individual for a short span of time.

It might be developing fast

Easily curable

No need of longer treatment.

Hospitalization may or may not be required.

Ex.cough cold typhoid etc.

Chronic disease persists for a longer period of time.

Develops slowly .

Not easily curable.

Need longer treatment.

Hospitalization required.

Ex heart or kidney disease
