Xylem :-

1. Transport of water and minerals occurs in roots to leaves.

2. Conduction of water and minerals takes place through xylem vessels and tracheids .

Phloem :-

1. Transport of food occurs in leaves to other parts of plant.

2. Conduction of food takes place through sieve tube and companion cells.
