what is difference between transparent and translucent

Those object in which light rays are totaly pass the object is called transparent.

And, those object in which light rays are pass partialy is called translucent.

Transparent means things or objects with are clear and in  which we can see through 
In transparent objects light can pass though
example ; glass 

Translucent means things which are no totally clear but we can see though them a little or we can say they are blurry ! 
in translucent objects a partial amount of light can pass though ( not totally )
example ; butter paper
