The Difference between veins and arteries are as follows
Arteries:
1 they carry oxygenated blood from the left ventricle to the body
2 they are thickly walled
3 the pressure of blood inside the arteries is very high as the blood is to be passed to the whole body
4 they do not contain any flaps
Veins:
1 carry deoxygenated blood from the body to the right auricle
2 they are thin-walled
3 the pressure inside the veins is low
4 they contain flaps which prevent the backward flow of the blood
