Hi there!
Here are the differences between scalar and vector quantities :
!! SCALAR !!
♦ A physical quantity which has only magnitude is known as scalar quantity.
♦ For ex: mass, length, time, work, etc.
♦ Scalars obey algebraic rules for the operations like addition and multiplication.
♦ A scalar can divide another scalar.
!! VECTOR !!
♦ A physical quantity which has magnitude as well as direction is known as vector quantity.
♦ For ex: velocity, displacement, acceleration, etc.
♦ Vectors obey vector algebra for the operations like addition and multiplication.
♦ Two vectors can never divide each other.
