The difference between Cotyledon andEndosperm: In monocots, cotyledon is important in food absorption, whereasendosperm serves as a food storage tissue. Usually, in mature seeds of dicots, cotyledon is present whileendosperm is absent.

scutellum is found in momocot seeds like maize. scutellum is a kind of cotyledon
