The difference between Cotyledon andEndosperm: In monocots, cotyledon is important in food absorption, whereasendosperm serves as a food storage tissue. Usually, in mature seeds of dicots, cotyledon is present whileendosperm is absent.

scutellum is found in momocot seeds like maize. scutellum is a kind of cotyledon
GENERALLY COTYLEDONS ARE FLESHY AND HAVING RESERVED FOOD MATERIALS.....BUT IN CASE OF SCUTELLUM .....IS RESERVED FOOD PRESENT OR ABSENT ??
scutellum also contains reserved food for seed in dormant stage
