Hello!!

Here's your answer...

A unit is a broad area of study while a chapter breaks things down more specifically.

For example, Physics would be a science unit and force/motion would be a chapter in that unit.

What is different between Chapter and Unit?

The main difference between a chapter and a unit is that a chapter refers to a specific part of a book, whereas a unit refers to separate parts of a book. The range of a unit is large. There can be many chapters in any unit, but there is no unit in any chapter. For example, if there is a book of chemistry, then it has 2 units namely organic compounds and inorganic compounds. Both the units will have separate chapters covering different points.

Thus a unit can be a group of several chapters but a chapter cannot be a group of units.

A unit is the process of arranging chapters in a sequence focused on a particular topic. If more than one topic is covered in a book, then all the topics are divided into units. Each unit is divided into chapters with different points related to that topic.
