when 2 waves of amplitude with opposite sign are added resulting in 3rd waves with lower amplitude it is known as destructive interference

where as two waves with same sign are added resulting in a 3rd waves with larger amplitude it is known as constructive interference

Hey Mate..!!! ✌✌✌
_______________

Pls find the answer below :

➡ Constructive and destructive interference are phenomena that take place when several waves meet.

➡ The main difference between constructive and destructive interference is that constructive interference occurs when the displacements of the waves that meet are in the same direction, whereas destructive interference occurs when displacements of the waves that meet are in the opposite directions.

▶ Examples :

◾ An example of destructive interference is noise cancelling headphones.
◾ An example of constructive interference is when you have two speakers facing each other.
