limiting friction acts on a body when body is about to move whereas static friction is act on a body when body is at rest.

kky121: hey
kky121: can u tell formula of those,???

Maximum value of applied force that doesn't start motion is called limiting friction. When force is higher than that object starts moving and static friction is replaced by kinetic friction. Value of kinetic friction coefficient is lower than in case of static friction.
