Its generally observed in meristematic cells of plants which differentiate to form permanent tissues

  • Differentiation in apical meristem increases the height of the plant axis(shoot)
  • Differentiation of lateral meristem increases the width of the plant

● After differentiation,the cells either form permanent cells or enter into G Zero phase(resting phase)
