Mithochondrian in animal cells convert energy into forms of the animal cell can use .mithocondria is power house of the cells. Mithochondria is found in both animals and plant cell and produces ATP. 
Chloroplast in plant cells are necessary for photosynthesis, converting sunlight into energy the plant cell can use. Chloroplast are what give the cell its colour because they contain chlorophyll. Chloroplast are only found in plant cells and provide the green colour of most plant.
