Diffusion is the movement of a fluid (either liquid or gas) by small random motions. It has nothing to do with concentrations of anything (that is osmosis!). All fluids continually diffuse. It is most noticeable when a fluid diffuses from one place to another...

Diffusion is the spontaneous movement of a substance from a region of its high concentration to a region where its concentration is low
