Answer:

Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from their higher concentration to their lower concentration through a semi permeable membrane.

Diffusion is the free movement of molecules of a substance from the region of their higher concentration to the region of their lower concentration when the two are in direct contact.

Answer:

Diffusion :

Diffusion is the movement of molecules of a substance ( liquid or gas ) from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration when kept in direct contact.

Osmosis :

Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration through a semi permeable membrane.

The main difference between Osmosis and Diffusion is that, in osmosis water molecules move through a semipermeable membrane but diffusion occurs without tge presence of semi permeable membrane.
