\bold{DIFFUSION}

◉In general, the act of diffusing or dispersing something is termed as diffusion.

◉In the biological context, we define diffusion as the movement of water vapor from highly concentrated regions towards less concentrated regions.

◉Many day to day activities involve diffusion. Some of them are:

  1. The spreading of the odour of our perfumes.
  2. Dropping of or paint into water results to the colouring of water.
  3. Balloons shrink due to the loss of air present inside which gradually comes out of the balloon and gets released into air.

◉Diffusion can also be called as propagation, dissemination, scattering, dispersion etc.
