IN CHEMISTRY:
The intermixing of two different substances completely with each other is known as diffusion. eg:- mixing of salt in water, mixing sugar in water etc.
IN BIOLOGY:-
The movement of substances from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration is known as diffusion.

viveknarayansingh: I thing its wrong
viveknarayansingh: IN CHEMISTRY:-
rajcskfan: i to think so bcz you said about dissolving ineed explantion for diffusion
viveknarayansingh: In chemistry:- The movement of particle from higher concentration to lower concentration is Called diffusion for ex-distribution of pefume where it is sprayed in one part of room yet soon you can smell it everywhere and movement of drop of food colour in a glass of water where eventually the entire glass will be coloured
viveknarayansingh: In biology:-diffusion is the spontaneous movement of molecules from region of higher concentration to one of lower concentration ,until uniform concentration is finally achieved.for ex:-a gas such as co2 gets accumulated in higher concentration inside the cell.
Maque: ok thanks.......bbbbrrrr...
