Answer:

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. Diffusion happens in liquids and gases because their particles move randomly from place to place. Diffusion is an important process for living things; it is how substances move in and out of cells.

Answer:

In Biology

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. Diffusion happens in liquids and gases because their particles move randomly from place to place.

eg:Exchange of Gases. This is how oxygen and carbon dioxide moves in and out of a cell. The concentration of oxygen is higher in the cell than outside.so the oxygen moves from in to out.

In Chemistry

The process of mixing up of different types of substances/particles on their own is called diffusion.

eg:Hot food. The scent of hot food can be smelled from a distance because the particles of food mixes with air.But if the food is cold you have to go very near it to get a smell.

Hope this helps:)
