Answer 1 :- Diffusion is the net movement of anything from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. Diffusion is driven by a gradient in concentration. The concept of diffusion is widely used in many fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, sociology, economics, and finance.

Answer 2 :- Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement or diffusion of solvent molecules through a selectively permeable membrane from a region of high water potential to a region of low water potential, in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides.

Answer 3 :- Difference between Osmosis and Diffusion

Osmosis

Requires water for the movement of particles. Only the solvent molecules can diffuse.

Diffusion

Does not require water for the movement of particles. the molecules of solute and solvent can diffuse.

I hope this is helpful for u

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.

Osmosis is the movement of a solvent across a semipermeable membrane toward a higher concentration of solute.

Difference:-

Diffusion can take place without semi- permeable membrane but osmosis required semi- permeable.

In diffusion all particles get evenly distributed but in osmosis particles in higher concentration comes to lower concentration area and does not get mix.
