Digestion is the breakdown of large insoluble food molecules into small water-soluble food molecules so that they can be absorbed into the watery blood plasma. Mouth, Esophagus, Anus are the three parts related to animal digestion. Salivary glands, liver, gall bladder and  pancreas, are the glands which associates the digestion.

The process of digesting food is known as Digestion...

The human alimentary canal starts from mouth and ends at anus.

Mouth contain oral cavity. And oral cavity contains teeth. Teeth help in chewing of food and in many other works like grinding and tearing.

Tongue is also present in oral cavity which help in mixing of saliva in food and also helps to push the food in oesophagus. Trachea and oesophagus opens into pharynx.

When food pass through oesophagus then contraction and relaxation occur this movement is known as peristaltic movement of food. Oesophagus leads to a j shaped bag like structure called stomach. Stomach consists of cardic, pyloric and fundus regions.

Pyloric region opens into first part of small intestine called duodenum.
Small intestine consists of duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. Ileum opens into large intestine. Which further consists of colon, rectum and caecum.

Colon consists of ascending colon, descending colon and transverse colon. And descending colon opens into rectum and rectum into anus.
