One two animals or individuals are crossed together for having different traits, and it is possible only when the individual or animals heterozygous in nature, then this type of cross is known as dihybrid cross. It can be done for having the desired quality in the progeny. It is one of the most important crossing for having a quality which is desired.

• The most appropriate example for the dihybrid crosses is the cross between pea plant. Two different type of pea plant were taken.
• They are heterozygous in nature like height and colour was different from each other, it was taken to produce a different progeny.
