what is direction of current if ring is falling on vertical magnet having north pole on upward side ?

Answer:

with its N-pole upward which opposes (repel) the N-pole of falling magnet. Hence, the direction of the current in the ring will be anti-clockwise.

Hi i think you need to specify whether the field is uniform or not

As we cant predict the direction of current until we know something about the                                                            

magnetic field

If it is uniform then there is no emf induced in the ring as there is flux change....Hence no current flows

If it is non uniform then i depends

If it is non uniform... then comment me and i can help for the same :)
