It is an inorganic compound which can be easily prepared in factories and industries. harm crops if used in excessive amount and doesn't add any humus to the soil.
● excessive use of fertilizers in fields also cause water pollution. when the rain water together with such chemicals reach the water bodies it causes water pollution.
● these chemical ard non-biodegadable , hence it causes soil/land pollution.
● water pollution by such chemicals leads to the death of aquatic life.
● fertilizers increase the crop yield but it is very harmful for the human consumption.
To maintain the fertility of soil manures should be used rather than fertilizers.
