Disease is a condition of dearrangement or disturbed functioning of the body or its part.
there are four main types of disease: infectious diseases, deficiency diseases, genetic diseases and physiological diseases. 

Example: Influenza, tuberculosis, pneumonia (infectious), cancer (non-infectious)

1.On the basis of duration-ACUTE or CHRONIC DISEASES

2. On the basis of period of occurrence - CONGENITAL or ACQUIRED DISEASES.

3.On the basis of casual agents -Infectious and non -Infectious or communicable diseases can be contagious or non contagious.
