what is disk fragmentation????
Answers
Answer:
Disk fragmentation occurs when a file is broken up into pieces to fit on the disk. Because files are constantly being written, deleted and resized, fragmentation is a natural occurrence. When a file is spread out over several locations, it takes longer to read and write.

Answer:
When we save a piece of information in the hard disk of a computer, it has to save the file as soon as it can so that we can do our other works. In order to do so, it starts finding free space. When some space is found, the CPU tears off that much piece of your file and saves there, then goes on to find the next free space. Hence, your files get messed up inside the hard disk. This is known as fragmentation.
When a file is fragmented, it is hard to find the whole file, hence the computer takes some time to open the files. Hence, defragmentation of hard disk is very necessary. During defragmentation, the CPU compiled individual files and stores them at the same place in the hard disk. Hence after defragmentation, our files are likely to load up faster.
